Part of the Encampment program is to teach public affairs concepts to cadets. This includes cadet staff taking photos of events throughout the week, publishing them to social media and creating a “weekbook” to distribute after the conclusion of the Encampment which has proven very popular for our participants. All public affairs activities are supervised by adults. For this to operate successfully, please agree to the following release:

I give permission for my child to participate in the program tentatively entitled "2024 Nevada Wing Encampment.”

I hereby authorize and grant permission to Civil Air Patrol Nevada Wing to reproduce my child’s photographic and/or video image. I understand that I have no rights to any benefits derived there from.

I hereby authorize you to use my child's name, biography, likeness, voice and performance in the production of any program and for the purpose of publicizing and promoting the program. I further authorize you to edit the program, to make recordings of the program and to use and re-use the program and recordings of it, in whole or in part, for radio and television broadcasting, cablecasting, audio-visual, streaming media, social media, and any electronic and mechanical distribution of any kind throughout the world in perpetuity.

I understand that my child’s appearance in the program confers on me no ownership rights. If by reason of my statements and actions on the program or materials furnished by me for the program, if there is any claim or litigation involving any charge by third parties of violation or infringement of their rights, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Civil Air Patrol, CAP Nevada Wing, including all subordinate squadrons, and its licensees and assigns from any liability, loss of expenses arising from such claim or litigation.

I acknowledge that I am of legal age to consent to the terms of this license and to the granting of the rights described herein. I also consent to indemnify and hold harmless the Producer/Project Manager and all third parties against any claims that may arise from the use of my child’s name, image or likeness in the production.

We take the health of our members very seriously. We will continuously monitor every participant for symptoms of communicable diseases, and should your cadet show signs of infection during the week, it will be necessary for you to come to Wendover to pick them up. As such, a parent or designated adult must be available to do this throughout the duration of Encampment. in addition, you will agree not to send your cadet to Encampment if they are exhibiting any signs of illness. For this reason, there is a 100% refund policy up to the day Encampment begins.
